‘A Moment in Time’ with Beres Hammond, Marcia Griffiths and JAMROCK Magazine

JAMROCK Magazine presents “A Moment in Time” with Beres Hammond featuring Marcia Griffiths

JAMROCK Magazine presents Jamaican musical legend Beres Hammond, September 6, 2008 for his highly anticipated concert, “A Moment In Time”. The concert coincides with his October album release “A Moment In Time”.

Hammond, the originator of “Lover’s Rock” and called the “Otis Redding of Reggae”, has been writing, producing and pouring out his smoky-sweet voice over soulful reggae riddims for more than three decades. Beres consistently produced hits and number one singles, since his early days as lead singer of the ’70s funk-reggae band Zap Pow. As the cornerstone to Lover’s Rock, he inspired the next generation of reggae soul singers and international superstars like Wyclef Jean and Alicia Keys.

Beres Hammond has repeatedly sold out some of the largest and most prestigious venues including the Theatre at Madison Square Garden and Radio City Music Hall. This time around he makes his way to the elegant Westchester County Center, on the outskirts of New York City. The lavishly decorated venue has an intimate feel, keeping fans up close and personal with Beres.

Hammond is expected to present such timeless classics as “Tempted to Touch” and “Rock Away” as well as new material from his new album set for released October 2008.
