The demon has been slayed, as A&E cancels Gene Simmons Family Jewels after seven seasons.
The reality sitcom followed KISS bassist Gene Simmons and his longtime girlfriend now wife, former Playboy playmate and veteran erotica film actress Shannon Tweed, and their children Nick and Sophie.
“It has been a wonderful, life-altering experience for our family, and after seven successful seasons, we feel it’s time to move on” the family said in their statement. “A big thank you to A&E for allowing us to tell our story. … This is not the end of our story, it’s the beginning of a new chapter.”
Gene also told reporters reasons for the show coming to an end includes an upcoming KISS tour and several business dealings in the works.
