Primitivo French Wine Bistro Offers The Best Delectable Cuisine in Town

Daniel Deny, the proprietor of Primitivo Wine Bistro knows his cuisine. He was born in the restaurant business, learning from his Father, who was a chef in France. From dealing with many wineries to learning the art of preparing fine sauces, Chef Daniel has learned from the best.

Today, his restaurant which is located in Venice, has an old world flair to its surroundings with beautifully appointed paintings.

There are three dining areas, one which is the outside garden dining area. This area is especially relaxing with the warm summer breezes and the greenery surrounding the dining area. The two other dining areas are inside, one with a long cocktail area and the other in a more subdued are with a living home style living room feel.

Tom Hallick, a veteran actor and his wife Yin Yiang, a concert violinist joined me on this dining engagement.

Our dining journey began with oysters and I ordered the Fig and Kiwi Salad. Both were delicious. “The best oysters I’ve ever tasted,” were the words from Tom Hallick. By the way, my Kiwi salad was prepared with Arugula micro rainbow greens, manchego cheese, bing cherries, Serrano ham, and vanilla vinaigrette in a balsamic reduction.

Our main entree was Spanish Pailla, prepared in a Mediterranean style with organic chicken, tiger shrimp, black mussels, chorizo and saffron rice. One of the most gratifying dishes I’ve tasted in years.

Yin Yiang decided she wanted to enjoy the marinated Moorish lamb rack with scalloped potatoes, complimented with black cherry chutney. This was also a winning combination for the chef.

Why not enjoy the charm of Venice, California and dine at Primitivo Wine Bistro. Regardless weather it’s a French, California Spanish wine, you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Primitivo is located at 1025 Abbot Kinney Avenue. Hours of operation are 11am until 11 pm. Call [310]526-5644 for your next catering event or simply to enjoy dinner.
