Petite Pink Plastics Pigs = Fun, Fun, Fun!

Hey, have you tried playing “Pass The Pig” yet.

It’s awesome. I finally gave it a shot this week and wow is it an absolute bacony blast. I kept reading about it in a plethora of posts published on popular “pork promoting” public portals! So I figured, hey, if these people love it, so will I. I was right!

The object of the game is pretty simple. You just want to be the first player to score 100 points and that is accomplished by rolling cool little pigs as dice. The number of points that you score is determined by how the pigs land, just like in most dice games.

The player who is “rolling” can keep on rolling as long as they don’t blow their point producing process by tossing a losing combination. Also, if you choose, you can always decline your option to roll and stop your turn at anytime if you don’t want to risk pressing your luck.

Some of my friend like to get together and play a few rounds of “Bacon STRIP” Pass The Pig,” which to be perfectly honest with you, creates just enough seriously uncomfortable images in my head to keep me from showing up for that action, but they swear they all have a squealing good time.

Here’s basically how you score with a single pig.

*** Lazy Pig: The pig is lying on its side – 0 Points

*** Razorback: The pig is lying on its back – 5 Points

*** Trotter: The pig is standing on all fours – 5 Points

*** Snouter: The pig is leaning on its pig noise – 10 Points

*** Leaning Jowler: The pig is resting on its snout, ear and one foot – 15 Points

Here’s how you score using two pigs.

*** Sider: Both pigs lying on the same side – 1 Point

*** Double Razorback: The pigs are both lying on their backs – 20 Points

*** Double Trotter: The pigs are both standing on all fours – 20 Points

*** Double Snouter: The pigs are both leaning on their pig noises – 40 Points

*** Double Leaning Jowler: The pigs are both resting between snout, ear and one foot each – 60 Points

*** Mixed Combo: A combination not mentioned above is the sum of the single pigs score

*** Pig Out: Both pigs lying on opposite sides. You loose all the points you accumulated that round and the pigs get pass to the next player.

*** Oinker: (or Makin’ Bacon) – If both pigs are touching in any way, then you lose all the points you accumulated during the game and you pass the pigs to the next player.

*** Piggyback: If one pig lands completely resting on top of the other then you are out of the game.

Anyone who has been a member of the Bacon Freak Bacon Of The Month Club for any length of time has somewhere between 1 to 173 little pink plastic pigs laying around on their desk, so you definitely have to give this game a try, you’ll like it! If you want to see all the rules, be sure to check it out on Hasbro’s website, where they park a porky PDF of the official rulebook.
