The new entertainment complex, The Runway, located on Jefferson Blvd. in Playa Vista has everything from town homes, to health stores and some new eateries. My Panini Cafe, one of those restaurants, serves some healthy delectable dishes.
My guest, Clement von Frankenstein, who recently finished filming “Hail Cesar,” with George Clooney. Clement ordered a Hummus Trio, prepared with traditional Garbanzo, Black bean, Edamame Hummus, blended with Virgin Olive Oil, Fresh Garlic, and Fresh Lime Juice.
I ordered Green Lentil Soup, prepared with Organic Lentils, Tomatoes, Olive oil, garlic, Red Onions, Parsley, and crushed pepper in a vegetable broth.
What a healthy way to enjoy a soup that is prepared from scratch.
My Panini Cafe is popular for their Chicken, Fish and Lamb Kabobs, served on skewers with roasted tomatoes. Other dishes included a Date Salad prepared with Mixed Greens, fresh berries, walnuts, dates, cranberries, and Gorgonzola cheese in a Pomegranate Vinaigrette.
The flavors are enhanced with the Pomegranate Vinaigrette and have a sweet distinctive sensation that keeps one coming back for more.
Another dish I highly recommend is the Mediterranean Salmon Salad which has the Salmon oven roasted on a bed of mixed greens, topped with cucumber, Roman tomatoes, Red Onions, Olive oil, Feta cheese, and Lemon and Balsamic Vinaigrette.
