Bruce Edwin, who has spoken with Oprah’s production company Harpo last year regarding a film he is producing, and who is also originally from Chicago, where Oprah’s show is based, states, “There are two things you need to know about Oprah in order to understand Oprah.”
“First of all,” Bruce Edwin states, “Oprah likes to be in control of any project. And why wouldn’t she? She has the power to, and she has earned it. Secondly, she is a very spiritual person, utilizing the ‘law of attraction.’ She is making this decision from a grounded, logical perspective, and also from an ever more advanced, intuitive place. 25 is a magic number for her to complete.” “According to Biblical numerology,” Bruce Edwin continues, “the study of numbers from a perspective of the Bible, the number 25 ushers in redemption and divine grace from God.”
The Chicago Sun Times quoted Mayor Daley as saying, “When the controversy came up on Michigan Avenue, and people were criticizing her in the media, the first thing I said is, ‘She’s paying for everything on Michigan Avenue.’ I said, ‘So, why are you criticizing her?’ The merchants loved it; we had huge recognition around the world when she opened her show. And so, you keep kicking people, and people will leave. Simple as that.”
