‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ Heats Up TV Guide

NCIS: Los Angeles has not suffered the infamous “sophomore jinx,” as the spin-off and its predecessor is given three out of four stars in the latest issue from People, and is now on the cover of TV Guide.

Airing an hour after Gibbs and his A-Team, last year’s #1 new show is created by Shane Brennan, who is also both writer and executive producer of television’s #1 drama on CBS and Tuesday nights, continuing to following the undercover missions of the Office of Special Projects (OSP), NCIS agents fighting terrorism and espionage in Los Angeles and the world. The key to NCIS: Los Angeles becoming a breakout hit in its own right is the writing and the chemistry between the three onscreen couples.

First, you have the “bro-mance” between G. Callen (Chris O’Donnell) and Sam Hanna (LL Cool J). Next, you have Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah) and her new partner Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen), whose banter and sexual tension is similar to NCIS’ Tony & Kate (Caitlin “Kate” Todd) and Tony & Ziva. Lastly, there are the surveillance experts Eric Beale (Barrett Foa) and Nell Jones (Renee Felice Smith).

A new episode of both NCIS and NCIS: Los Angeles will air this Tuesday starting at 8p on CBS, so get the latest TV Guide issue at your newsstands right now.
