Award winning artist Guadulesa Rivera is to be one of the featured artists on the historic Arroyo Arts Collective Preview Party this year on Saturday, November 9th, 2013. The esteemed artist from Boston, now residing in Los Angeles, recently funded her first Kickstarter project, for nearly $15,000, in which she is making a unique art book about the healing tones of sound, and how pure sound can heal all areas of the body, mind and spirit.
The book, titled “Matrix 5: Tones of Resonance,” is inspired and influenced by her legendary Cherokee, Native American ancestors who have passed down this healing arts knowledge to a select few educators, including Guadulesa, to help heal many through the arts.
Guadulesa will be opening up her home studio to the public on the date of the preview party – a rare treat for the public, and patrons and guests will have the special opportunity to see and meet Guadulesa, purchase her art, and discuss with her one on one how the healing modalities of the ancient Cherokee work.
The Preview Party for the Discovery Tour starts days before the actual ticketed event. Both take place at Ave. 50 Studios. The Preview Party is on Saturday, Nov. 9th, 2013, from 7-10pm. Avenue 50 Studio is located at 131 North Ave. 50, Highland Park. Guadulesa said she is very happy to be one of the featured artists for the tour and the preview party.
The preview party is part of the NELA 2nd Saturday art walk, and is free to attend. It is also an ideal way to see the Arroyo Arts Collective of artists, being the largest arts exhibition on the North East side of Los Angeles.
Be aware that it is always a full house on the annual Preview Party event. Now the event hosts a bigger exhibit space at the esteemed Ave. 50 Studios. Visit a sampling of many of the artists’ work prior to the art tour, and take the opportunity to ask questions of the artists, including Guadulesa Rivera, especially her work on the Matrix 5 project.
This event hosts a large number of artists, so organizers recommend you arrive early, and take a pre-planned route to get the most out of the tour day, or benefit from one of the tour buses offered for the event.
Offerings include remarkable paintings in every genre, charming ceramics, dazzling wearable art, intricate metal works, hand-crafted musical instruments, finely crafted drawings and prints, sophisticated tapestries, and one-of-a-kind jewelry, paintings, fine art, and more.
