Russia is famous for certain things; its vodka, the cold war, the former Soviet Union, its ballet, literature, and radicals among more. But Russia’s beautiful women are undoubtedly the most famous of all, from the Bond Girls, to some of the prettiest models in the world. Elena Talan is one such lovely treasure that Russia has given the United States.
Elena Talan, speaking fluent Russian, German, Spanish, and English, launched a career in Hollywood that has seen her rise quickly to the upper ranks as a model and actress. And she confesses today, to something most American men have never before heard or known, just what do Russian women really think about them?
A master of the Russian ballet herself, Elena Talan starred as Mia Farrow in the feature film “Polanski,” rendering a passionate performance as the star of Rosemary’s Baby. But Elena is most well known for her starring role as the sexy, exotic Sasha, in Cinemax’s steamy “Sin City Diaries.”
Elena states that American men could benefit from learning more from Russian men how to be more romantic. She states, “Men in Russia are very romantic and know how to court women.” Which she says Russian girls feel is lacking in American men. As for ways she says Russian girls think American men are better, Elena confesses that most Russian women feel that “American men are very handsome, that they are very easy to talk to, and that they will try to go out of their way to help girls more.”
When asked about what Russian girls feel about sex and nudity, the ‘Sin City Diaries’ star reveals, In Russia and in Europe, nudity is not such a big deal as it is in America. They had a five story building-size poster of a nude model right by the airport in Paris, and nobody was paranoid about it. Although, I think nude scenes should not be done solely for the purpose to “sell” a film.
When asked about the cliche of Russian Brides, that is, beautiful young Russian women supposedly flocking to marry rich American bachelors to flee a life of hardship, Elena states,
“When that started in Russia, there were only were only two categories; ‘poor’ and ‘rich.’ Middle class in Russia has started to appear in the past several years, when people started to make enough money to have a higher standard of living.”
She continues, “There was a ‘bridal’ wave in the 90’s, but come on, have you met any recently?”It made some noise, as people liked to gossip about it, but it is over exaggerated. I know a lot of Russian girls who came to America and found good jobs and are not married to rich Americans, or not married at all. In fact, I met a few married to starving American musicians!”
There you have it guys, the new Russia has brought us not only another democracy, and beautiful models, but women with integrity, intelligence, and strength, to match their beauty. So, turn on that romance, and get courting!
