Oops Apple Does It Again!

2 iPod Touch prototypes show up on eBay…

On April 23rd, 2 iPod touches with cameras and a development version of the iPod OS were listed on eBay. One of the iPods listed is running a “Switchboard OS” which has never been seen before. They have “DVT-1” and “DVT-2” on the back of them which stands for “Apple Development Team.” There was rumors about cameras being installed in iPod Touches before and Steve Jobs said that there is no room in the iPod Touch for a camera. The auction has been taken down. (No surprise there) Apple has not commented on this matter.

What is the deal with Apple losing prototypes lately? Sure information sometimes will leak out about prototypes to the media. Information that is usually leaked out includes features of the upcoming device, hardware, and sometimes even photos, but rarely do you see prototypes lost or stolen, well until lately. What is Steve Jobs going to do to tighten up security at Apple? Because whatever they are doing now is obviously not working.

The iPhone 4.0 was lost a few weeks ago, and sold to Gizmodo for $5000. A criminal investigation is pending on the matter. Now 2 iPod Touch prototypes show up on eBay…. “Someone got some splainen to do!”
