P.A.R.T.Y. in Folsom Seeks to Educate on Risky Bahavior

The Folsom Police and Fire Departments, along with P.A.R.T.Y. (Prevent Alcohol and Risk related Trauma in Youth), and in association with Mercy Hospital Folsom invite the public to a special presentation this Friday.

P.A.R.T.Y. is in their second year in the Greater Sacramento Region. The program is designed to educate freshmen and sophomore high school students about the dangers of alcohol (drugs) and risky behaviors. The presentation simulates a traumatic incident, beginning before a traumatic event has occurred through the death of the actor/student. Actual first responders, medical professionals, and victims of traumatic injuries role play and share their true experiences.

The presentation is held on the first Friday of every month. It begins at the medical complex located at 1580 Creekside Drive in Folsom at 9:00 a.m. The next scheduled event is this Friday, November 6, 2009. The public is welcome to attend and experience the adverse effects of alcohol and risky behavior.
