Social Media Marketing University Tweets to Empower Business Leaders

It is no secret that businesses of all sizes are turning to the power of social media. From big media networks to the lowest budgeted start-ups, social media change the name of the game in terms of marketing and promotion. The Social Media Marketing University (SMMU) has created a new Twitter chat to encourage discourse on social media, online marketing trends and best practices.

“Social media is constantly evolving, making it difficult for many business owners and business professionals to stay on top of trends and best practices,” says John Souza, founder and chief strategist of SMMU. “We decided to launch this Twitter chat to give social business leaders a platform to ask questions, learn about new, leading edge strategies and network with experts and peers.”

The #SMMUChat is a weekly interactive Q&A and discussion on Twitter. Each chat features SMMU instructors, special guest experts and a growing community of Twitter users. It is one of many resources made available by SMMU to help business owners and business professionals increase social media proficiency.

The first #SMMUChat discussion on October 26 will focus on leveraging search engine optimization (SEO) to boost online visibility, Web traffic and sales. Participants can submit their top questions about SEO at The Twitter chat will center around the top 10 questions submitted.

SMMU is the training arm of Social Media Magic, which is recognized as one of the top five social media services for businesses by the Mashable Awards. With 11 courses, SMMU currently offers the most expansive social media and online marketing curriculum.

The course topics in the online marketing curriculum include, SEO, Pay-Per-Click, Blogging, Facebook marketing, mobile marketing and video marketing with YouTube.
