Jessie Ventura Speaks The Truth about Current U.S. Political Climate

Current Political Climate

Jesse Ventura speaks a lot of truths about the current political climate in the United States, but is anyone really listening? More working class people feel disenfranchised today than ever before. The current system of government no longer works for the common good of the people. It has been sabotaged by big corporations and the ruling elite and acts in its self-interest not ours.

Why is it that every year, more and more money is taken from education and health care for the middleclass and spent on tax breaks for the rich, and to feed the hungry war machine? How come we can raise billions at the drop of a hat to help foreign countries, but not a dime to help our own people?

Men Like Jessie Ventura are Hard to Find

There are not a lot of honest men in government today, on both sides of the isle, and men like Jessie Ventura are hard to find. He is a man of principle who speaks about the hard truths that people in our country are afraid to face right now; men like him are needed now more than ever before.

Jessie Venture argues in favor of abolishing all political parties within what he calls a “corrupt two-party system.”

“From my perspective, I can’t advocate anymore for third-party politics. We’ve got to face the reality that the two parties control the system to such an extent that, to be viable, a third party would have to sell out and become just as bad.”

Ventura asserts that corporations have bought the American electoral and legislative process through the power of lobbyists, campaign contributions and political action committees.

Ventura Exposes Two Major Parties

A blurb on the jacket of his book advertises: Ventura “exposes how two major parties, acting like a gangland cabal (Crips and Bloods), have allowed corporations, businesses, and politically motivated wealthy individuals to manipulate elections, bribe elected officials, and in short, silence the average American voter.”

The first chapter of the book, Ventura draws parallels between politics and pro wrestling – the latter being a subject in which Ventura, a former wrestler known as “The Body,” is well versed: “The two gangs pretend to be adversaries in front of the public…but ultimately, they’re both working for the same things: maintaining their power, getting richer, and making sure their wealthy backers keep control of the ship-of-state.”

Jessie Ventura: An Outspoken and Enjoyable Public Figure

When his wrestling career ended, Ventura’s name grew as some would say in infamy – by becoming governor of Minnesota, and since his tenure as governor he has remained an outspoken and enjoyable public figure. He has worn many hats – Navy SEAL, wrestler, politician, movie star, conspiracy theorist, visiting fellow at Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and New York Times best-selling author.
