Economic Matchmaking

The ongoing efforts of Southern California Israel Chambers of Commerce (SCICC), Jacob Segal Director, The Elite Entrepreneur Organization, headed by Katherine Kahen, and The Paul & Elizabeth Merage Family Foundation in Newport Beach California, Yishay Aizik in charge of the program, to bridge Israeli start-up companies with the US market place is remarkable.

Several times a year between 10-to-15 Israeli startup companies arrive in California to take some critical lessons as to how to approach the USA and international markets, all expenses paid by the incredibly philanthropic Merage Foundation.

Along the program the visiting group get the opportunity to meet a Los Angeles business men and woman who find may find interest in pursuing either business opportunity or investment opportunity with the visiting companies.

Last week one other Israeli start-up group was hosted by Farhad and Fariba Nourafshan at their lovely home in Beverly Hills and some 100 guests came to hear what they have for “sale.”

Writeright is creating a virtual playground which offers an easy way for young students to learn foundational literacy skills, while providing educators with supreme capabilities to analyze the progress and adjust it according to the needs of the kids.

These startup companies are the crystal ball of what the world will look like in one decade.

Our world has been redefined by smart technology. Computer, smart phone, tablet and the like gadgets have taken permanent place in our daily life and the business world. We all use such electronic gadgets on which we heavily rely, sometimes as if life depends on them. This kind of presentation by upcoming startup companies is a window into our future, to which Israeli innovation and creativity is a world leading force.
