Beijing Report: China Eco Expo

Marc Merson, Chairman of the Eco Expo reports that he just returned from China, where he had multiple meetings and shared delicious food with partners at the Ministry of Construction.

Merson says the Ministry of Construction is very enthusiastic about the Green Building/Green Cities Expo and ready to do everything possible to make it a success.

There are two important developments – high level matchmaking and a Mayors Conference.

The Ministry of Construction will set up meetings for US businesses. with target people in both a one on one and roundtable formats. Merson says “This level of support from the Ministry is unprecedented and by itself could make the whole trip worthwhile.”

This support can put together US businesses and key developers, government officials, distributors, potential joint venture partners or major companies in their field.

The ministry has created a special conference program for mayors, their top aides and their local developers, as well as other private sector stakeholders. More than a hundred mayors are invited, all of whom now have a compelling mandate for environmental action in their city, which Merson says is a highly motivated audience with huge buying potential.

The China Eco Expo will be the featured attraction of the Ministry of Construction’s 14th annual Construction and Urban Services Trade Show and Conference, June 18-20, 2009 at the Beijing International Exhibition Center, the premiere trade show venue in the City.

The MOC event is the premiere Industry trade show and conference in China, with 30,000 Sq. meters of exhibit space and a professional audience of 50,000.
