Srinagar, June 6: Indian army soldiers allegedly assaulted a group of tourists at Pahlgham tourist resort in Indian administered Kashmir on Monday. Police have registered a case against the army.

Geelani also released a pamphlet- 'Tourists and Pilgrims Welcome to Kashmir'- which he said would be distributed among the tourists visiting Kashmir.

Srinagar, May 11: The Kashmir government has welcomed the statement of Mohammad Yasin Malik - former militant commander and now chairman of separatist political group JKLF - about safeguarding the tourism industry in region.

He said Kashmiris have always safeguarded their guests even at the cost of their lives. 'We have never shown any weakness in this regard and even in difficult times we have proved our hospitality and humanness,' he said.
