David Carradine Did Not Commit Suicide

An independent autopsy into the death of David Carradine has concluded the actor did not commit suicide, as it was earlier suggested by authorities in Thai. Dr. Michael Baden, the forensic specialist hired by the Carradine family, stated that more investigation is still underway of how the 72-year-old actor died, as the autopsy from the Thai police won’t be revealed until a few more days. In a joint statement through brothers Keith and Robert, he told The Associated Press:

“To reach a final determination as the cause and the manner of death, we must wait for further information from Thailand, as to the scene findings and the completion of crime laboratory and toxicology studies that are still being performed. The autopsy is only part of the analysis.”

Carradine’s body was found hanging in a hotel room closet naked in Thailand last week. At first, it was suggested that he took his own life, which led his family to enlist the services of Dr. Baden, best known for HBO’s Autopsy. Most recently, Carradine’s third ex-wife Gail Jensen told Radar Online about his “dark side,” which includes surprising kinky habits during their marriage.

Besides suicide and a sex crime as earlier indications that led into his death, Entertainment Tonight recently revealed another theory that Carradine may have died for revealing martial arts secrets — the same theory that was enlisted involving the death of martial arts legend Bruce Lee, who died in 1973 at the age of 32 before the release of Enter The Dragon, the movie that would bring him international, iconic status. ET also reported Carradine’s will, in which his portions could be divided by his fifth wife Annie, his seven children, grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Keith Carradine issued a statement to the AP and said:

“This is a devastating loss for our family and we greatly appreciate the compassion pouring in from all over the world.”

So far, no funeral arrangements have been made but the cable network Spike TV will be showing a marathon of Carradine’s movies in his honor over the weekend, which starts this Saturday at 2pm.
