World Cup: Japan 1-0 Cameroon, Honda Steers Japan To Close Victory

Japan joined Holland at the top of group E after being a talented Cameroon this afternoon.

Honda scored the only goal in what was a somewhat lack-lustre game. Cameroon fought hard in the second half to try to get into the game but they struggled to break the Japanese down, with Mbia hitting the bar and Eto’o getting frustrated after being stuck on the wing – a strange position to put one of the worlds best strikers.

Japan began as the outsiders for the Group but they now stand a very strong chance of Qualifying, with a win against Denmark or a point against both the Danes and the Dutch, enough to put them through. Cameroon on the other hand have a lot to do and need to pull their finger out.

This game was the first big miss for the Newsblaze predictions which have been pulling in a nice profit so far, but with Italy nicely priced against Paraguay tonight, the money should (hopefully) continue to roll.
