Crossfire War: Eurasian Theatre; In Service to Tehran

Night Watch: MOSCOW/ASTANA – In a breakfast of extreme irony, three Secretaries of State met at the U. S. Ambassador’s residence, Spaso House in Moscow. [Interfax]

All three of them, Henry Kissinger, George Schultz and Condoleezza Rice, have long been sworn to secrecy over corporate services that have armed the Islamic world, including Iran. Kissinger retained quite a bit of integrity when he warned over the Sunday morning news talk show, This Week With David Brinkley, in 1991 at the end of the Gulf War, that he was worried about a deal that could cause a worse war a few years later.

He was referring to the enormously corrupt and stupid decision to halt the coalition forces outside Baghdad and let Saddam Hussein remain. Imagine if the Allies had been told in 1945 to halt outside Berlin and let Hitler remain. CNN showed the engineering service that was invited to Iran the day after the Gulf War ended, the engineering service using its London branch office to evade the U. S. embargo against Iran. This is why it helps to keep track of the history of current events. It prevents one from being misled or experiencing misplaced loyalty. Those who own and those who advised the decision are not benefitting however much they pretend. These are not secure people.

In Tehran’s intelligently evil view these people, and those they represent, have served their purpose. However much these three Secretaries of State make themselves believe they have been and are in service to the U. S. in reality they have been serving Tehran and Tehran does not want them or their corporate connections serving the Allied war effort. Anyone who was in on the decision to construct bases for Iran, or willing to represent those who did, could end up dead like that private banker in Geneva Edouard Stern last February.

Stern headed the British engineering firm Delta and I suspect he took advantage of Britain having no embargo against Iran. In February he was found dead in his apartment that had a lot of security and was located above a police station. He lived alone. There was no sign of forced entry. Ever since the Khomeini revolution of 1979 I have wondered if Iran’s intelligence service could have reactivated the Cult of the Assassin. They also had a branch in Syria.

The construction service, shown on CNN, was the same one that built the military base network for Saudi Arabia, as if the House of Saud needed it. But the private capital that made the decision assumed that the Islamic world would continue its tradition of blowing itself up or if it did experience some military unity they would be easily dealt with, especially by Moscow. Of course at the end of the Cold War, 1990, no one had any idea the massive corruption that would sweep Russian society that caused an economic collaspe in 1998 and their defeat in the first Chechen war 1994-96. Even now Moscow is barely holding its own the expanding Caucasus front.

And that is probably the real reason for the breakfast and their controlled panic concern, reflecting the worried short term view of the established money they represent. It is not only the Caucasus front that worries them but also continued access to the massive energy resources of Kazakhstan that has been making no secret of its close coopertion with Tehran-Beijing. Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has been telling Turkmenistan they should also cooperate with Tehran, which is why after the breakfast Kissinger flew to Astana, the Kazkh capital, in an attempt to embrace Nazarbayev and remind him of his committment to an open economy and regional security understandings. I suspect Nazarbayev told Kissinger everything he wanted to hear.

All three, despite their public reticence, know that Tehran is behind the expansion of the war. Former Secretary of State and former President of Bechtel Group George Schultz would be extremely privy to these privileged arrangements since he was Secretary of State at the time of the Iran-Contra Scandal of 1987. The scandal erupted when it was discovered that the fast buck artist Reagan administration was selling weapons to Iran. During his testimony Schultz tried to discuss his World War II service record.

During the 1980-88 Iran/Iraq War the news would often call it a weapon dealers dream, with both governments being extremely wealthy. The world soon realized it could make more money helping Iran, which has made Tehran the most important factor in their decision making ever since. Britain also had an investigation. But Anglo-American established society had decided to put their foreign policy up for sale and the Council of Guardians and the House of Saud purchased it.

In 1988, late that summer, CBS News Radio, 780 AM, WBBM-Chicago mentioned that Secretary George Schultz was holding secret negotiations with Iran in an attempt to insure an American investment position in Iran after the death of Khomeini. I assume Tehran had a couple of requests: first make up for the mistake made by the cruiser USS Vincennes. In July, that year, the Vincennes was on patrol in the Persian Gulf and shot down an Iranian commerical airliner. The Lockerbie incident in December 1988 made up for that mistake; second, do damage to Iraq’s military.

Planning for what became known as the Gulf War began. Khomeini died in 1989. When bases for Iran were completed Saddam was then removed. The lost alliance is still chasing the Jihad around Iraq protecting a government controlled by their enemy. Perhaps on paper the US/UK intend to send forces to Central Asia, a much more important front economically, but Tehran may instead have them chase the Jihad around the Balkans.
