"Kidnapped Girl's Family Goes After Spain"

By Claudia Strasbaugh

Desperate to recover little Madeline McCain abducted from Prais Da Luz, Portugal May 3rd as her parents dined just a few yards away, her parents have just launched a Recovery Fund.

It is to be used to pay private detectives to expand the hunt for the abducted child. Determined to recover Madeline her parents instructed a prominent legal eagle who specializes in child abductions to assist in running the foundation expected to be launched tomorrow.

Leading the Lord Chancellor's Child Abduction Unit for 5 years Michael Nicholls QC along with many other impressive qualifications is also a member of the Family Justice Council's International Family Law Committee.

Two additional British solicitors have flown to Portugal in the interim to coordinate the new charity to which the public will soon be asked to donate time, expertise, dollars, whatever help one can in the search to recover little Madeline.

The expanding effort by desperate parents will include a website http://www.bringmadeleinehome.com with telephone number, just the kickoff of what is becoming a vast campaigning dedicated to raise world wide awareness of their petite child's disappearance.

Of great fear by 4 year old Madeline's parents is that there is for some peculiar reason no coverage of Madeline in Spain, a not unlikely place she was smuggled.

The McCain family is considering private detectives be assigned to help officials conduct their investigative search both through out the country and expand it to Europe.

McCains' solicitors "The International Family Law Group" have now been joined by Mr. Nicholls who added solicitor Richard Jones to the Portugal search. Mr Nicholls is considered an impressive scholar on the subject of child abduction having been educated at the Britannia Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, and Inns of Court School of Law. His specialty is both "International and Domestic family law, Child Abduction".

His work will include keeping media informed of Madeline's family search efforts. In this case that could include information media is free to report, also injunctions against what the press isn't. It is difficult to determine exactly what that means at this time.

Madeline's parents have been absolved of suspicion, there have however been rumors of kidnap negotiations underway. If such were the case the family may be concerned that reporter interference jeopardize successful recovery of the small girl.
