A person was killed and 10 others injured, when a passenger bus skidded off from the road and fell down into a gorge at Khanapara near Guwahati city on Wednesday.
Police and locals said CRPF personnel were traveling back from SKIMS hospital where many of their colleagues were injured in a militant attack earlier at Bemina were undergoing treatment, when it came under attack in Zoonimar area.
Four civilians were also injured, said a police statement. The Kashmir News Service (KNS), a Srinagar-based news agency, reported receiving a call from a Hizbul Mujahideen spokesman who claimed the 'guerilla attack' and said others would follow.
