Hamas Firing Rockets into Israel

Terrorists in Gaza have fired more than 65 rockets and mortars at Israel since the ceasefire began last month. Not all of the terrorists are Hamas operatives. There are multiple terrorist groups in Gaza.

Terrorists in Lebanon fired two Katyusha rockets into Israel last week. One rocket injured three people in northern Israel and the other rocket fell inside Lebanon. [ Katyusha hits Galilee community; 3 lightly hurt, YnetNews ]

The Grad type of Katyusha rockets supplied to Hamas are linked to Iran and smuggled into Gaza through underground tunnels. Iran, the largest state-sponsor of terrorism provides more than $20 million Hamas each year and trains Hamas operatives in Iran and Syria.

Hamas is still holding the IDF soldier Gilad Shalit, abducted in 2006, and refuses to link him to the current negotiations eith Egypt. They also will not agree to stopping weapons smuggling.
