World Cup: Sneijder Sends Holland Into Semi’s After Win Against Brazil

After a two day break the World Cup was back on as the Quarter Finals kicked off with a brilliant game between Holland and Brazil.

Brazil started better in this game and were quick to score, with a tap in at the back post from Robinho ruled out for offside. Robinho had a second stab at the opener with ten minutes gone and this time it did count, Melo broke the Dutch defense with a splitting ball and Robinho latched on to slip the ball into the net.

If not for a great save Kaka could have extended the Brazilian lead as the stars of the World Stage dominated the second half which ended with a 1-0 lead for them.

After half time Holland were very unfavored and were trading at a massive 23/1 (that’s 240 Pounds for a 10  Pound bet) for the win, with odds touching 6/1 for the Draw.

Those odds looked very tasty when, with just ten minutes of the half played, Sneijder swung a ball into the box which the ‘keeper flapped at and missed, watching it skim off the head of his defender and sink into the back of the net for the equalizer. Sneijder played the hero again ten minutes later when he stuck his head on a whipped-in corner to nod Holland into the lead.

Brazil’s woes continued with just seventeen minutes left when Melo saw a straight red for a reckless challenge. A stupid moment of anger for the Brazilian and one that decreased his teams chances of getting back into this game. A few chances did fall Brazil’s way following some late corners, but Holland saw this game out with ease.

A fantastic game here with a potential huge win for any In-Play punters. Be sure to get yourself on there and keep an eye on those markets.
