Rawlings and Perfect Game USA Announce Preseason All-American, All-Region Teams

The annual Rawlings Preseason All-American and All-Region Teams list recognizes the top 400 high school baseball athletes in the U.S.

The Rawlings Sporting Goods listing showcases the teams’ abilities in a format for collegiate and professional scouts. Rawlings partners with Perfect Game USA, the world’s largest scouting report service, to bring to readers “The Finest in the Field,” with two prestigious awards.

There are more than 240,000 high school athletes around the USA, and the Rawlings list shows the players representing the very best in their class.

Rawlings Vice-President, Mike Thompson, commented, “These selected athletes are being recognized for their skill, athleticism, and dedication to their game which allows them to perform to the highest level of game play.”

The Rawlings Preseason All-Region Team consists of catchers, pitchers, infielders and outfielders. The team recognizes a 50-man roster from each of the eight regions around the U.S., showcasing 400 players.

Rawlings takes the top 150 of the 400 athletes, naming them to the Rawlings Preseason All-American Team. These 150 players are placed into one of three teams.

“Rawlings and Perfect Game USA are synonymous with the game of baseball and these preseason awards allow us to reward these elite athletes for their hard work and contribution to the game,” Thompson said.

Jerry Ford, Perfect Game USA President, said, “To receive the Rawlings Preseason All-American or All-Region Award is a tremendous achievement for these high school athletes.”
