For weeks now, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has threatened to release more incriminating emails about Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton before Election Day. Assange, for whatever opinion many Americans have, has produced credible/factual email retrievals in the past.
It is what is called an October surprise, in which one presidential campaign releases damaging information about their opponent weeks before the General Election. Hillary’s mud-throwers may be scoffing in public, but they are more than fearful Assange is not bluffing. If history is any indicator of the Clintons’ shady dealings over the last 24-years, it could be bombshell damage and they know it.
According to Fox News this week, Assange plans to release emails that show the ties between the Clintons and Saudi Arabia. Not only could that mean violations of the nation’s national security, but as a supposed defender of women, Saudi Arabia is legendary for treating their women like personal slaves.
Assange put it all in perspective earlier this week saying, “There is also an extensive relationship between Hillary Clinton and Saudi Arabia , between the Clinton Foundation and Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia is probably the largest single donor to the Clinton Foundation and you can see Clintons arms export policies when she was a secretary of state favoring extensively Saudi Arabia.”
He made his comments to a number of major newspapers and websites.
This would obviously pose the potential for chaos in the final weeks of the campaign. Assange has spoken of his distaste for the Democratic Party. The stark fact is that the Saudis are proponents of Wahhabism, a fundamentalist branch of Islamic theology. Their government ranks as some of the worst human rights abusers in the world.
The WikiLeaks founder reportedly intends to also expose the Clintons’ connection to Russia. He said, “There is a much deeper connection on record with Hillary Clinton and Russia than we are presently aware of with Donald Trump. Hillary Clinton did quite well strategically to draw a connection between Trump and Russia because she has so many connections of her own.”
Should factual evidence of this occur before the two candidates’ national debates, the exposure could very well determine the election Those that discredit Assange’s threats would be wise to hear what longtime Democratic operative Jim Manleys warns; “We may be headed into uncharted waters, and this has the potential to spiral out of control.”
Hillary Clinton’s damage-control specialists are feverishly attempting to distract the media from the leak disclosures. That has been working well considering most major media outlets are in the tank for Clinton and venomously hate Donald Trump.
But ominous quotes from Assange shown how vulnerable Hillary Clinton is. “Hillary Clinton of course and her team naturally have tried to distract from the very real revelations with anything they can, desperate to try and criticize amazingly their opponents as being Russian agents,” he told CNN Monday.
Hillary Clinton has much to cover-up in her closet of political skeletons, but if there is indeed a October surprise, will her campaign be able to spin it away before the voting begins? More important than that, will intelligent voting Americans let her?
