Hard News Versus Affirmation: Most Trusted Name In News Meltdown

It appears that most mainstream news networks provide affirmation for their viewers rather than information. A case in point was last weekend, when an islamic terrorist attack took place on the iconic London Bridge.

Terrorists of still unknown origin ran their van into an unsuspecting crowd and began a violent stabbing spree that continued for eight minutes before authorities arrived. All told, eight died, with scores of others injured.

Then came a perfect example of the new media commentary over actual news.

One host from left-leaning CNN took the opportunity to provide his personal bias, ignoring the actual news event. It was his moment in the sun to drive home his personal opinion of President Donald Trump with a worldwide audience in tow.

CNN News host Reza Aslan on live television referred to Donald Trump as “a piece of s___t.” It was in response to a tweet from the president which urged courts to re-institute his so-called ‘travel ban’ executive order that simply temporarily halted immigration to the United States from seven countries identified as hotbeds of terrorism.

Aslan had written an op-ed piece in April explaining why he is a Muslim. Apparently this provided him with the affirmation to make his personal opinion part of a news story.

He said, “This piece of s__t is not just an embarrassment to America and a stain on the presidency. He’s an embarrassment to humankind.”

It is yet another embarrassing moment for CNN in recent months. While there is a growing awareness among American viewers of the left-leaning media, they are coming to the realization that CNN does not represent the unfiltered news programming they purport to have invented.

Media’s Anti-Morality Message

It has become obvious to a majority of Americans that Democrats and their media allies are inventing an anti-morality message. Pliable millennial minds are indoctrinated with affirmation of their warped mindset over hard news.

The absurd idea that Aslan is considered a “journalist” is an abomination to the profession itself. His use of the airwaves and social media to indoctrinate his viewers and readers is a hijacking of the First Amendment and what it defines as free speech. By using mass media outlets as a conduit for personal opinion while covering the death of seven innocent people in London is reprehensible.

This is an insult to America and the world that trust Aslan and many others to present the facts. Where is the uproar among those who consider themselves actual journalists dedicated to covering fact and not opinion? They should understand why recent polls show the media being more mistrusted than used car dealers.

It took until Friday for CNN to cancel Aslan’s show, and it was left to a CNN Money post to report the fact. Aslan is only the latest CNN propaganda channel figure to be fired. He follows Kathy Griffin and Donna Brazile out what has been called the “Clinton News Network” door.

In finally firing Aslan, maybe CNN executives remember they used to call themselves “The most trusted name in news.” They haven’t been, for quite some time.
