FBI Agreed to Destroy Evidence Pertaining to Hillary’s Private Server Including Laptops

Fox News correspondent Catherine Herridge revealed on Monday the two immunity deals for Hillary Clinton’s two top aides included a side arrangement. The FBI agreed to destroy evidence on their laptops after reviewing the devices, House Judiciary Committee sources told Fox News on Monday.

According to reliable sources, the FBI arrangement with former Clinton chief of staff Cheryl Mills and ex-campaign staffer Heather Samuelson went further by limiting the search with a deadline of Jan. 31, 2015. In other words, FBI investigators agreed not to review documents during the time the email server became public. That meant the bureau had painted themselves into a corner if there was any evidence of obstruction of justice.

Late Monday, the Republican chairman of the House Judiciary Committee fired off a terse letter to Attorney General Loretta Lynch. He asked why the DOJ and FBI agreed to such restrictive terms, not to mention the FBI agreed it would destroy the laptops after finishing the search. Like many things about this case, these new materials raise more questions than answers, Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., wrote in the letter obtained by Fox News.

What did the FBI actually get by giving these people such outrageous immunity? Was anything uncovered that was damaging about Hillary Clinton? The entire situation is unprecedented in the annals of the FBI and the DOJ. Why would these two pillars of law enforcement in this country provide such unnecessary protection for key witnesses?

The FBI’s fumbling of the case is highly suspicious and projects a very dark cloud of political intrigue and favoritism. The case must be investigated at this point. But who should do the investigating? The top two agencies for that very job are implicated in what may very well be a political cover-up to aid candidate Clinton.

There is little choice but for the president to appoint a special prosecutor. This whole thing begs for a special prosecutor. Is there any honest lawmaker in Washington that thinks that will ever happen through the Obama administration?
