Chelsea Clinton to Speak At Mills College on Feb. 2

Three days before Californians and voters in more than 20 other states go to the polls, former first daughter Chelsea Clinton is visiting Mills College on Saturday February 2 to push her mother U.S. Senator Hillary Clinton to become the country’s next and first woman president.

Clinton will talk about the power and influence of young voters and answer questions in an open town hall format from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Mills College Student Union, 5000 MacArthur Blvd., Oakland, CA.

This will be Clinton’s only appearance in northern California before the election.

All press are asked to check in by 9:45 a.m. The Student Union’s capacity is only 200 people and we have more than 300 people confirmed to attend. Please confirm press attendance if possible at media@mills.edu.

All members of the public are invited to attend. Guests are recommended to arrive by 9:30 am to be assured of entry. Overflow seating is available in Lucie Stern Hall Room 100 where the town hall can also be viewed by live videocast. Guest RSVP to rsvp@mills.edu.

Clinton also appears in video footage in a work of art made by a Mills alumna currently on exhibition at the Mills College Art Museum. The exhibition, entitled/ We Interrupt Your Program/, is/ /a politically oriented exhibition of work by women.

Senator Hillary Clinton is a graduate of a women’s college, Wellesley College in Massachusetts. Her campaign recently invited Mills College President Holmgren to speak at the National Women’s Finance Council Summit in Washington D.C., a conference of women leaders from around the nation.
