FORWARD OPERATING BASE FALCON, Iraq – Sgt. Abraham Hernandez, infantryman assigned to Company B, 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, shouts before firing a non-lethal M203 round during non-lethal weapons training at Forward Operating Base Falcon in southern Baghdad’s Rashid district. Hernandez, who hails from Houston, and his fellow 1st “Raider” Brigade Soldiers conducted training on non-lethal weapons, Rules of Engagement, and Escalation of Force. Co. B, 1st Bn., 22nd Inf. Regt., is part of the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division – Baghdad, currently serving a combat deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Non lethal

FORWARD OPERATING BASE FALCON, Iraq – Sgt. 1st Class Nathan Quinn, a military policeman assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division – Baghdad, describes the characteristics of a non-lethal 12-guage round used by Soldiers in Baghdad at Forward Operating Base Falcon in southern Baghdad’s Rashid district. Soldiers from the 1st “Raider” Brigade conducted non-lethal weapons training. Quinn hails from Montpelier, Idaho.

FORWARD OPERATING BASE FALCON, Iraq – A slew of non-lethal munitions displayed for Soldiers of the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division – Baghdad, showcase the different types available to Soldiers during training at Forward Operating Base Falcon in southern Baghdad’s Rashid district. Instructors stressed the importance of separating the lethal from the non-lethal munitions to Soldiers during the training.

Leaman

FORWARD OPERATING BASE FALCON, Iraq – Capt. Andrea Leaman, Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division – Baghdad, gives a non-lethal weapons qualification card to Spc. Nicholas Timms, during non-lethal weapons training at Forward Operating Base Falcon in southern Baghdad’s Rashid district.

Timms, an Atlanta native, is an infantryman assigned to Company B, 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, 1st BCT, 4th Inf. Div. Leaman hails from Casper, Wyo.
