BAGHDAD – Paratroopers assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 5th Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Multi-National Division – Baghdad, carry bags of soccer equipment and other goods to Rusafa’s district council headquarters building during a humanitarian mission located in eastern Baghdad.

Paratroopers, along with civil affairs Soldiers assigned to the 401st Civil Affairs Battalion, have handed out soccer equipment across eastern Baghdad in support of FC Unity, a London-based organization working with Coalition and Iraqi officials in eastern Baghdad to provide the citizens of Iraq a platform for development and education through a series of soccer programs.

BAGHDAD – Sgt. Bryan Patenge, of Phoenix, Ariz., assigned to 401st Civil Affairs Battalion, hands out candy to children during a humanitarian mission in the Idrissi neighborhood, located in the Rusafa district of eastern Baghdad.

Civil affairs Soldiers and Paratroopers assigned to the Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 5th Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Multi-National Division – Baghdad handed out soccer equipment and other goods in order to enhance the quality of life for citizens in the city.
