CBS is about to gear up for more NCIS with a third series – and second spin-off – currently in the works from NCIS – executive producer and writer Shane Brennan.
The proposed spin-off is set to debut on NCIS: Los Angeles later this season as a two-part episode: centering on a mobile unit forced to work and live together, as they travel throughout the U.S. solving crimes.
Both NCIS and NCIS: Los Angeles are the top-rated shows on television, with these two teams of federal agents investigating crimes in the military and taking on undercover missions that threatens national security.
Currently in its 10th season, NCIS ties parent JAG as creator Donald P. Bellasario’s longest-running show. The original’s growing popularity gave birth to NCIS: Los Angeles, created and executive produced by Brennan; the show is currently in its fourth season.
NCIS and NCIS: Los Angeles air Tuesdays nights on CBS; you can also catch reruns of both shows on USA Network, as well as get more NCIS in the latest issue of TV Guide, which is available on your newsstands right now.
