Iris Schirmer ,of distinct and unique heritage , now a young 90 years of age with at least a 20 years younger appearance, will be honored by The Rose Breast Cancer Society Thurs. Oct. 6 at their “Cancer Prevention Symposium” at the Beverly Hills Country Club.
Ms. Schirmer has discovered the fountain of youth and will share some of her secrets. She is of royal blood lineage which traces back to Mary Queen of Scots. Her great grandmother was the De Marquesa Maria Falces Acerra y Pinson. The Pinson family gave their ships, the Nina, Pinta and Santa Maria in Palos, Spain to Christopher Columbus 1492 which discovered America. Her background also includes her grandfather, Rafael y Iglesias Castro who served Costa Rica as President for eight years.
A twice knighted lady, member of charities, and exceptional poet, Ms.Schirmer joins other dignitaries at the event. Symposium speakers include Dr. Cherilyn Lee, former nutritionist to Michael Jackson, National Association of Professional Women Woman of the Year 2010-2011 who will speak about the benefits of Thermography breast cancer screening. Bee Beyer, Vice-President of the Southern California Motion Picture Council , creator of the Food Hydrator, author, will speak.
Dr. Burt Danet will discuss the extraordinary properties of Plasma Activated Water. Carmelita Pittman, founder, will host. “May Stands Still” folk ensemble will perform and International artist Emmy Lu of Uganda will exhibit and auction some of his remarkable art collection.
The reception begins 6:00 p.m. and Symposium at 7:00 p.m. Donation is $40 payable to The Rose Breast Cancer Society 264 So. La Cienega Blvd. Suite 1136, Beverly Hills , CA 90211. Tickets will be held at the reception table.
