Spectrum Health Selects Aternity for End User Experience

Aternity Inc. has announced that Spectrum Health has selected the Aternity Frontline Performance Intelligence (FPI) Platform for its strategic end user experience management initiatives.

With Aternity, Spectrum Health will be monitoring and analyzing the performance of a number of mission-critical applications including McKesson, Cerner, and Epic across a subset of its 16,000 employees.

Spectrum Health, a West Michigan not-for-profit health system, offers a full range of care through the Spectrum Health Hospital Group, a collection of eight hospitals and more than 140 service sites; the Spectrum Health Medical Group, mmpc and West Michigan Heart-physician groups totaling more than 400 providers; and Priority Health, a health plan with nearly 580,000 members.

“Our process for finding the right technology to deliver a comprehensive view of end user experience involved a number of vendor evaluations in our production environment,” said Jeremy Meller, Director of Enterprise Operations, technology and information solutions department at Spectrum Health.

“Aternity was able to offer the monitoring capabilities we require coupled with real-time analytics that will provide us with the proactive IT management approach to both application and desktop management we are looking for. Our goal is that our mission-critical business applications deliver the highest possible up-time and service levels.”

Aternity’s monitoring capabilities come with real-time analytics. This makes it a proactive IT management tool for application and desktop client management. Aternity says its business applications are mission-critical, delivering maximum up-time and the highest service levels.

Spectrum Health has 16,000 employees, 1,500 medical staff members and 2,000 volunteers, and provided $79.4 million in community benefit during its 2009 fiscal year. Thomson Reuters named Spectrum Health a Top 10 Health System in 2010.

Aternity software gives a 360 degree view of end user experience, plus advanced analytics that allow preemptive problem detection and cause analysis, and what they call “right-time decision support capabilities.”

Spectrum Health says their health system continually outperforms its peers and to remain ahead of the pack, they adopted Aternity as their technology-of-choice for end user experience management and monitoring

“We are confident that Aternity will provide Spectrum Health with the user-centric, proactive management capabilities they need so that they can continue to focus on their business of providing high-quality treatment and services versus being distracted by end user and application performance issues.” – Trevor Matz, President and CEO of Aternity.

Aternity has received many awards. The company was named a Gartner Cool Vendor in IT Operations, a Top 10 Most Promising Start-up by Ernst & Young and Globes, and a Top 50 Startup by InformationWeek. Industry recognition also came from the American Business Awards, the International Business Awards, The Marker, and NetworkWorld Magazine.
