Crossfire War – 3 Day Gunbattles in Chechnya – Explosions in Dagestan

Crossfire War – TEHRAN WATCH – North Caucasus – Western Caspian Theatre: Tehran – Grozny – Makhachkala/Moscow; 3 Day Gunbattles in Chechnya – Explosions in Dagestan

Night Watch: MAKHACHKALA – Chechen military sources, connected to KavkazCenter.com, reported that three days of running gunbattles left 14 Russian soldiers dead and 20 wounded in Chechnya. The Islamic Mujahideen units operate in fast moving mobile squads. The firefights took place in and around the towns and villages of: Vedeno, Eshelhatoy, Janni-Vedeno, Tezen-Kala, Shamil-Kotar, Belgatoy and Dargo. Russia responded with heavy artillery and air strikes. The fighting here is just as heavy as Iraq-Afghanistan. Despite the area’s strategic importance the West would rather ignore it. [KavKazCenter]

Further east in Dagestan, bordering the oil rich Caspian Sea, there were two explosions in the provincial capital Makhachkala. The most important one seems to have been opposite the building that houses the Ministry of Emergency Measures of Dagestan.

This region is a crossroads of energy pipelines and the focus of some of the most important projections of future developments planned by the global energy industry. Those plans will have to be put on hold until hostilities cease. That is why it is so crucial for the corporate world to render any industrial assistance it can to Russia’s military. I cannot begin to see NATO deploying a lot of units here. They never anticipated a major war anywhere and Brussels will soon have its hands full with the Balkans, which makes its years of having conducted joint maneuvers with Russia, since the end of the Cold War, a complete waste of time. Brussels, playing such a leading role in recognizing the divided Yugoslavia and its pompous military presence there since then, has put NATO completely out of position.

It is here that this World War III will be decided, not in Gaza, Iraq, Afghanistan, the Balkans or India or by discussing regime change in Syria or by speeches and press conferences. And with so much worldwide corruption, which has been crucial for Iran’s nuclear – missile programs, sanctions have no chance either of exerting serious pressure on Iran and will only accomplish publicity, the illusion of doing something. Neither will a mass uprising in Iran do the work only frontline units can.

This is why Berlin, representing the most serious industrial-energy concerns in the West, found Vladimir Putin and made him President in order to stabilize the situation. Berlin may be the only capital in the West willing to put a sizeable number of troops here. And this is also why, despite Moscow voicing public support for Iran’s nuclear program, they have delayed completion of Iran’s nuclear power station at Bushehr for at least another year. If Bushehr were up and running it would make the Allied war effort even more difficult than it already is.

It will take the Berlin-Moscow concern about a year to be able to respond more offensively to the Islamic units supported by Tehran-Ankara. When that happens Moscow-Tehran will enter into negotiations to end the war.
