Albania’s Fragile Pro-Western Diplomacy With Old “Musical Notes” of the Pro-Eastern Interest Sphere

The General Assembly of the United Nations on September 10, 2015 at its 69th Session adopted five resolutions among those and the “Resolution of the State of Palestine Flag to Fly at United Nations Headquarters as a non-member observer State at the United Nations (document A/69/L.76) by a recorded vote of 119 in favour to 8 against (Australia, Canada, Israel, Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Palau, Tuvalu, United States), with 45 abstentions. By the terms of that text, the General Assembly decided that the flags of non-member observer States maintaining permanent observer missions at Headquarters shall be raised at Headquarters and United Nations offices following the flags of the Members States of the Organization.”
This Resolution on raising of the Palestine Flag at the United Nations Headquarters was voted on by Albania together with the other 118 countries of the United Nations. United States, Australia, Canada, Israel, Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Palau, Tuvalu voted against raising of the Palestine Flag at the UN Headquarters building in New York.
Why didn’t Albania vote together with the United States on the raising of Palestine Flag at the United Nations Headquarters?
I would never have voted in the side of the “Axis” of the former eastern socialist-communist nations headed by the Soviet Union (1945-1990). But with pride, I would vote for the United States due to the simple fact that America has saved my life and the other over two million lives of Albanians of Kosovo from terror and genocide of Serbia’s fascist regime headed by Slobodan Milosevic, the Balkans Bucher (1989-1999).
America made Kosovo an independent and sovereign state, separating one forever from the cruel colonial rule of Serbia(1912-1999), NOT Russia, not Palestine which both considered Kosovo as “part of Serbia’s territory” as a former close ally of Yugoslavia in the war against Israel.
Really, why did Albania find its self in the same “bag” with former red axis of the Soviet Union, Chinese, Vietnamese and Yugoslav block against America at the UN?
At the UN, to vote for Palestine against American vote!? – This is a big nonsense for Albania as an American ally and strategic partner.
Who is in need, and at the same time, who are you going to adopt this sort of anti-Albanian, anti-American and Western anti-European politics “renaissance?”
This type of the hybrid and hibernate diplomacy everything could be, but isn’t at all Albanian “national renaissance” and “renaissance” of the foreign policy and diplomacy of Albania in finding its place in the United States policy.
Such a philosophy of ideological, political and diplomatic misleading of Albania it doesn’t work for American-Western European alliance. Why then vote for Palestine?
Who liberated and made Kosovo independent? Who accepted Albania as full legal member of NATO? NOT Palestine, not Russia, not Serbia, not China, not Vietnam. None of those but only the United States of America with its western European allies.
Unfortunately, this vote of today’s Albania against the American vote is reminiscent of the diplomacy of the former pro-Soviet, pro-Chinese and pro-Vietnamese of Albania, which didn’t get any benefits from those except bankruptcy and isolation from the American and pro-Western democratic system and values. That was the “victory” of the foreign policy and diplomacy of Albania, lined up in the socialist camp, during the years 1945-1990 of the twentieth century.
If Albania follows such a course of fatal bankruptcy, rejecting diplomacy and US policy and its European-Western Allies at the scene of international relations, then, the outcome and the fate of Tirana’s diplomacy is known, “back up” as a long time ago in the course of “socialist camp” of the Soviet Union, China, Vietnam and North Korea.
But this disaster and tragedy for the Albanian nation in the Balkans should never happen, despite the aspirations, illusions, from backstage underground projects and efforts by the tendency to return to the sphere of influence of the former socialist camp
Such a process of russification of the indigenous land of the Ethnic Albania (not resolving the Albanian national issue in the Balkans), hence, there is no more any chance to reappear those black efforts despite insidious and concealed the apparatchiks (communists) leaning ideological pro-Soviet.
Why are they using pro-Tito and pro-Palestine diplomacy against America? We call it pro-Tito diplomacy because the Albanian diplomacy without any reason, supports Palestine as Tito’s politics and diplomacy.
This is one of the main reasons what today the Palestinian government authorities have their interests and the close political, diplomatic and military friendship relations with Serbia as a successor of the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.
Palestine is against Albanian Kosovo, yet Albania supports Palestine!
This political and diplomatic pro-Serbian Palestine official course proves this statement of the Palestine Ambassador in Belgrade (2011), Mohammed Nabhan, pointing out that “Kosovo has always been part of Serbia, while Gaza and the West Bank have never been within Israel. These are occupied territories. Meanwhile, Serbia has never occupied Kosovo.”
This statement made by the Ambassador of Palestine in Belgrade is only a big lie in favor of colonial of Serbia. So why is it that politicians and diplomats of Albania didn’t take into account that false statement made by the Palestine Ambassador Mohammed Nabhann against Kosovo independence. Historically, Kosovo is an integral part of the territory of Ethnic Albania, not of the colonial and genocidal Serbia.
What was the reason that Albania has voted for raising Palestine’s Flag at the UN headquarters in New York?
This fatal error and incorrigible diplomatic action has criticized the former Albanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, now a current Member of Parliament of Albania, Tritan Shehu, estimating that “Our voting pro-Palestine Flag at the UN, is an attitude nearsighted, absurd, wrong, unjustified and counterproductive, even as a separate decision.” Our vote is diametrically different from the United States.
Indeed, such an anti-American political and diplomatic fatal step is Madness “withdrum” voted pro-Palestinian flag, opposing America’s NO. It is “voluntary suicide” politically and diplomatically knowing that Albania and Albanians need America as an ally and a strategic partner in the Balkans, Europe and worldwide.
Those politicians and diplomats in Tirana, who have suggested and have taken such a wrong decision against ourselves and against the United States, to support putting the Palestinian flag on the UN building in New York, automatically should abandon politics and diplomacy.
The Albanian politicians and diplomats who voted against the American vote not to raise the Palestine flag at the United Nations Headquarters, have forgotten that the United States have mostly contributed and have the main merits in reforming, democratizing and westernizing today’s Albania, not Palestine, not Russia, not Serbia, not China or Vietnam.
In addition, Albanian political and diplomatic “champions” have forgotten the fact that America along with its Western European allies, accepted Albania into the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in April 2009.
If there wasn’t Washington’s impact and persistence that Albania enter NATO, Albania never would have seen that “Movie” as a member of this political and military Organization, but it will “decay” waiting for years, as it is awaiting full two decades to be integrated into the European Union/EU/ (1992-2015).
And now, after this betrayal toward America, being listed openly on the side of Palestine, opposing the United States vote against raising the Palestinian flag at the United Nations Headquarters, Albanian politicians and diplomats must comply with their tragic mistake, and may only dream of joining the EU without American consent and support.
