Carl Buddery Named CEO of Tufcot Engineering After Dacke Industri Acquisition

Carl Buddery takes the CEO role at Tufcot Engineering Ltd as Dacke Industri continues to develop its Power and Motion portfolio.

Carl Buddery has been appointed CEO of Tufcot Engineering Ltd, the UK composite materials specialist owned by Dacke Industri.

The appointment took effect on July 1, 2026. Buddery succeeds Greg Majchrzak, who will continue with Tufcot Engineering as Business Support Manager.

Tufcot Engineering, based in Sheffield, specialises in composite materials and engineering components. Its products include bearings, bushings, wear rings and other machine parts used across marine, automotive, railway, hydraulics and other industrial sectors.

Carl Buddery Takes Tufcot Engineering Ceo Role

Buddery brings more than 25 years of engineering and manufacturing experience, with specialist expertise in composite materials and high-performance bearing applications.

Dacke Industri said Buddery has played a key role at Tufcot Engineering in strengthening technical capabilities, supporting commercial growth and building long-term customer relationships.

He has also held senior industry roles covering general management, engineering leadership, business development and international sales.

“I am incredibly proud to take on the role of CEO at Tufcot Engineering Ltd after a career in the industry,” says Buddery. “I look forward to continuing to work with our talented team, our valued customers, and our colleagues within Dacke Industri to lead Tufcot into its next phase of growth, building on the strong foundations.”

Dacke Industri Power and Motion Portfolio

Tufcot Engineering is part of Dacke Industri’s Power and Motion division. Dacke Industri acquired Tufcot as part of its wider strategy of investing in niche technology companies with strong technical capability and long-term development potential.

Mikael Lundgren, President Power and Motion at Dacke Industri and Chairman of the Board of Tufcot Engineering Ltd, says Buddery is well suited to lead the business.

“Carl Buddery has a strong understanding of Tufcot Engineering Ltd, its customers and its technical capabilities. His combination of engineering expertise and commercial mindset makes him well suited to lead the company forward,” says Lundgren.

Dacke Industri also thanked Greg Majchrzak for his years of dedication and contribution to Tufcot Engineering. Majchrzak will remain with the business as Business Support Manager.

Tufcot Leadership Change Follows Dacke Industri Growth

The leadership change follows Dacke Industri’s continued expansion across specialist industrial companies in Europe.

Dacke Industri says it operates a decentralised ownership model, where subsidiaries keep a high degree of autonomy while receiving strategic guidance and development support from the wider group.

The group is owned by Nordstjernan. Dacke Industri now has 34 subsidiaries across four divisions, about 2,000 employees worldwide and net sales of SEK 5 billion.

The appointment of Carl Buddery as CEO of Tufcot Engineering gives Dacke Industri another post-acquisition leadership milestone inside its European niche-engineering portfolio.
