Jonas Brothers are Getting Mobile With Fans on Tour This Summer

This summer, The Jonas Brothers are getting in touch with their fans thanks to mobile technology. The rising teen heartthrobs are in league with Verizon Wireless for their 41-city “Burning Up” tour, named after their first single “Burnin’ Up” of their new album, A Little Bit Longer, which debuts in stores August 12. Their last album, which was self-titled, sold over 1.5 million copies.

“We are totally excited to kick off our ‘Burning Up’ tour with Verizon Wireless” said Kevin Jonas. “We look forward to connecting with our fans in cool, new ways through their mobile phones and, of course, in person at our shows very soon.”

Produced by Live Nation, the “Burning Up” tour will give Verizon customers the chance through mobile to automatically enter and win two mobile tickets to one of the shows, in which they’ll received a mobile ticket with a unique barcode on their Verizon Wireless phones. The ticket is only good for two seats and will be scanned when the winners come to the door for the concert. They’ll also get the chance to meet Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas in person before the show as well as going backstage, and more. The winners will be chosen through various local promotions in each city the Jonas Brothers perform.

“We are honored to team up with the Jonas Brothers again,” stated Verizon’s digital music director Ed Ruth, “this time not only to connect them with their incredible fan base in fun and innovative ways using their wireless phones, but also to offer our customers a chance to win one of the toughest tickets to town.

“Jonas Brothers’ youthful exuberance brings a fresh new spirit to pop music, and we look forward to delivering exclusive opportunities for their fans and our customers throughout this tour.”
