Acting on stage and in film is normal for Lesley Staples, but this time around she attended a recent show as a theatre guest. The event was held at the Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre for the performance of “Mid-Life the Crisis Musical.”
Stage Performance Background
The stage performance, held in Fort Myers, Fla., ran through most of the summer. Lesley and guests were there to enjoy both the dinner and the show!
The authors of this show are brothers Bob and Jim Walton. They both have quite a history when it comes to writing other performances, plus they have performed in some of them.
More on Lesley Staples
Lesley Staples resides in Cape Coral, but she hails from the UK. Staples has made her home in the states, and acting is her passion.
According to Lesley, she tries to attend such shows often. She likes the idea of dining before the show as well.
Apparently in this show, Lesley liked the topics they chose referring to issues experienced as a senior.
“The way they took sometimes serious moments in our life, and made them humorous, it worked. It was a great blend of acting, singing and getting a ‘point across’ at the same time. In other words, I liked the show!”
Lesley Liked All Things About the Show
Lesley had no one favorite topic.
“I liked all the topics for different reasons, but I was partial to the ‘Weekend Warriors’ one for sure. In it, three men act out being jocks again, and the music and choreography were great.”
Staples’ Noted Works
“As far as myself, I am an actress and have worked in film, TV and theatre (Florida Rep and others). ‘Calendar Girls,’ among other films, is a film I was proud to be a part of. I’m also a professional voiceover actress at Voice 123.”
Behind This Comedic Musical
More behind the scenes of this comedic musical are director Paul Bernier, and the choreographer, Amy Marie McCleary. The actors are Erin Fish, Jennie Hollander, Victor Legarreta, Autumn O’Ryan, Peter Riopelle, Robert Summers, Megan Opalinski and Michael J. Parker.
A bit of Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre’s history includes the Prather family. They have produced quality theatre for more than 45 years. The Prathers bring years of expertise to each production and are known for creating a comfortable, but luxurious ambiance in each of their theatres.
