Just in time for the holiday season, Amazon now gives customers the ability to give Kindle Books as gifts.
Customers can gift Kindle Books to anyone as long as they have an email address. The recipient does not have to own a Kindle. Kindle books are accessible on multiple devices including PC’s, MACs, Blackberrys, Android-based devices, iPads, iPhones, and the iPad Touch through a free downloadable application.
Amazon is the only bookstore to offer this sort of gifting option. I think they are hoping once a customer has a few books in their library, they will be enticed to purchase a Kindle e-Reader to read them on.
