5 Gigantic Influences of AI In Education

Technology is ever-evolving, and it seems like each day that there’s something more helpful in everyday life. One industry that isn’t untouched by the evolution of AI is the education industry. Whether it’s helping teachers or students, there have been some gigantic influences of AI in education

  1. AI Grading

One way that AI is influencing education is by making teacher’s jobs a little easier. An example of how it is helping is with grading. If a teacher doesn’t have to spend the time grading the same test dozens of times or more, they can dedicate more time to crafting lessons and spending time helping students.

Right now, AI can only be used to grade multiple choice questions. However, as AI gets smarter and better, it will be able to rank harder questions with a smaller margin of error. Eventually, it might even be able to classify essay questions with fairness.

  1. Smart Content

Another great way that AI is helping out in the classroom is the ability to incorporate smart content into lessons. With AI, the days of simple PowerPoints and lectures are coming to an end. Now, a professor or teacher will be able to show what they are talking about in great detail.

Think of an anatomy student, for instance. Traditionally, they would learn about the human body through a textbook or flashcards. With the help of AI, they could learn about the human body through interactive models and 3D graphics.

  1. Virtual Lecturers

This next concept might be a little further in the future than the use of smart content or help from paper writing services. In the not too distant future, students might see the use of virtual instructors or virtual learning environments.

With these, a student would learn the material directly from AI rather than from an instructor with the supplementation of AI. However, you probably shouldn’t expect these to make human lecturers obsolete because while they may learn to respond to human inquiries, they will lack aspects like the empathy that a teacher provides for their students.

  1. After-Hours Help

A more straightforward role that AI can play is helping students with fundamental questions when professors and teachers are out of the office. It helps immensely because anyone can tell you that if a student has an assignment due at midnight, they might be up at 10 pm or 11 pm with a question about the task. Having AI able to answer the basics in this situation goes a long way.

  1. Personalized Help for Students

Finally, we have the fact that AI can help personalize help for students. It is probably one of the more widespread uses of AI in education. After all, tailoring lessons to meet student needs is excellent for both students who want to learn and teachers who want to help their students to the best of their ability.

One of the most common places to see this is in classes that have an online study portion. When a student does their homework, quizzes, and tests online, the AI on the program they use looks at what they excelled at and what they didn’t do as well on. From there, it can build a study plan for the student that meets their needs and helps them learn the parts of the material they struggle with.

Final Thoughts

Artificial intelligence and technology are only improving from here and frequently, their goal is to help make everyday life a little easier. From helping teachers speed grading along to helping a student learn in a way that suits them, education has and continues to be influenced by AI.
