Residential real estate has long been viewed as a market driven by a rush for quick profits. However, a bold new leadership style is emerging, driven by innovation, grit, and a passion for transforming communities.
What is the difference in this new approach? Knocking down properties and making money has taken a backseat to a unique balancing act. One that incorporates reviving neighborhoods, sparking opportunity, and redefining value in overlooked markets.
Daniel Nigri stands at the forefront of this transformation. A highly regarded figure in residential real estate, he has earned distinction for his ability to reposition underutilized assets into resilient, income-generating properties that make meaningful contributions to the communities they serve.
With a leadership style defined by strategic clarity, technological innovation, and a deep commitment to purpose-driven development, Nigri exemplifies the next generation of real estate leadership, one that aligns economic performance with enduring impact.
As an Executive currently serving as Chief Executive Officer of ValuePoint Property Solutions, Nigri has crafted a blueprint for growth that combines purposeful leadership, innovative systems, and a commitment to both the team and the community.
And it is one that is setting the bar high across the United States when it comes to mindful real estate investing.
His ability to scale operations while maintaining quality and impact has transformed distressed properties into thriving communities, setting a standard for the industry: “Seeing my business grow is like watching a child become something greater. It’s about building something lasting with purpose.” Nigri says.
Nigri’s leadership is rooted in his diverse background. A 2017 Summa Cum Laude graduate in Civil Engineering from the Technion Israel Institute of Technology, he specialized in water infrastructure, gaining a deep understanding of structural systems.
His early role as a Python programmer at Mellanox Technologies (now NVIDIA) from 2015 to 2017 equipped him with technical skills to automate processes, a cornerstone of his real estate strategy: “I’ve always been focused on creating systems that work. From engineering to real estate, it’s about making every piece fit together seamlessly.” Nigri reflects.
Nigri’s vision for purposeful scale came to life in 2023 through a landmark revitalization project which was led by Nigri through his company. Taking on a severely distressed 31-property portfolio comprising 120 residential units, mired in code violations and with a mere fraction of occupancy, Nigri spearheaded a comprehensive repositioning, transforming it into a stable, high-performing community within under one year.
He oversaw a $5 million investment and redevelopment plan, implemented custom operational systems, and directed cross-functional teams with military precision: “It’s about engineering clarity from complexity. With the right structure, even the most fragmented assets can deliver extraordinary outcomes.” Nigri explains.
More than a financial turnaround, the project delivered urgent social impact, providing quality housing for over 120 households and over two dozen vulnerable households through strategic partnerships with Section 8 and local housing authorities. It stands as a blueprint for how disciplined investment, operational innovation, and social responsibility can converge to regenerate not just properties but entire communities.
Nigri’s proficiency in scaling ventures is further evident in his work with IDD Real Estate, which he founded in 2019. Operating remotely from Israel, he led over 50 flip projects in the United States Midwest across four different states, scaling a lean operation to deliver move-in-ready homes.
One project involved a neglected four-unit property requiring extensive structural repairs. Nigri’s leadership ensured clear timelines and budgets, with his team completing renovations in five months and selling at a 25% profit.
His ability to manage remote teams and scale project volume while maintaining quality highlights his operational expertise. “I’m good at creating a family-like atmosphere. Happy teams produce better results, which is key to scaling,” he notes.
Through additional entities like Rental Buyers, IDS Holdings, Wilmington Rentals, and ValuePoint Nigri, the real estate specialist, who is considered among the most highly regarded and successful in the country, owns and manages almost 100 properties with more than 200 rental units.
A 2021 project saw him scale operations to renovate distressed properties in Cleveland, implementing automated maintenance systems to handle tenant requests efficiently. By leasing some of the units through the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority, he ensured stable cash flow and community benefit.
Nigri’s secret weapon is the use of custom Python scripts to optimize Podio and Buildium workflows, which enable his team to manage increased property volume without sacrificing service quality —a testament to his top-tier expertise.
Nigri has transformed ValuePoint Property Solutions into a tech-forward real estate operation, streamlining everything from leasing to financials through custom-built Python automations: “I love systemizing. From acquisitions to property management, my systems connect every part, making growth sustainable,” he shares.
This disciplined approach enabled the renovation of dozens of properties in a year, an achievement that reflects his position among the most effective operators in the field.
Nigri’s leadership extends to team-building, a critical component of his scaling strategy. By fostering trust and collaboration, he ensures alignment across employees, vendors, and contractors. In a 2022 Indianapolis project, he led a team in renovating a single-family home with severe water damage, coordinating multiple vendors to complete the work within three months. His clear communication and positive culture kept the project on track, resulting in a profitable sale: “It’s very important that my team feels like a family. That’s how you get good outcomes,” he emphasizes.
Nigri’s leadership is also about generosity; he actively mentors over 25 investors, primarily from Israel, guiding them through the complexities of U.S. real estate investing. From deal sourcing and creative financing to renovation management and tenant placement, he shares a proven blueprint for scalable success.
In 2023, his role as a featured speaker in the 23,000-member “Real Estate to the Point” community further solidified his reputation as a thought leader in the industry: “I want to be remembered as someone who gets the job done,” Nigri says. A legacy he’s building not only through results, but by empowering others to do the same.
Snir Edri, Co-Founder and Director of Field Operations at ValuePoint Property Solutions, reflects on Nigri’s leadership: “Daniel is one of the most driven and dependable people I’ve worked with. He leads with integrity, supports his team without hesitation, and always chooses the right path, even when it’s not the easiest. His consistency and character truly set him apart in this industry.”
Asaf Gishron, a fellow Israeli real estate developer who has collaborated with Nigri on multiple cross-border projects between the U.S and Israel, can also speak to his peer’s distinctive impact: “Nigri’s drive and his ability to integrate advanced technologies make him a key contributor and a true engine of growth in any community he serves. He brings vision, reliability, and innovation, qualities that elevate every project he touches.”
They are not the only ones: “Sellers respect Nigri because he closes on time without games. Buyers trust him because he’s honest, what he promises is exactly what they get, and in an industry built on trust, he stands out,” said Kim Greco, owner of TitleCo Title.
And Frederick Haught, who oversaw the sale as both CFO and trustee, is another fan. He shares: “Nigri has built trust with lenders, secured the capital we needed for projects, and given us the confidence to keep pushing forward, even under harsh conditions.
“But what truly sets him apart is his deep respect for family, his and ours, which is vital. There is no doubt it makes any transaction with him both successful and meaningful,” said Frederick.
Nigri’s vision is to scale nationally by acquiring and revitalizing larger distressed portfolios across the United States, replicating the transformative success he has achieved on a localised level. In 2024, he launched due diligence on a 90-unit portfolio, applying his proprietary systems to assess feasibility, project returns, and design a renovation strategy.
What sets Nigri apart is his ability to lead with intention, striking a balance between profitability and team morale, while also prioritizing long-term community uplift. He builds more than just portfolios; he builds momentum, trust, and sustainable community impact across the U.S.
“I don’t just want to grow, I want to grow the right way, with purpose behind every project. That’s how you create real value in the market, and in people’s lives.” Nigri says. That’s precisely what he’s doing, proving that in real estate, actual value is built on purpose.
