Al Shabab extremists attacked Somali government forces during the night between Wednesday and Thursday in the Somali capital Mogadishu. The militia used a hand grenade in their attack.
Shabelle, a local radio station in Mogadishu, reported that the Somali ambassador in Kenya made extraordinary efforts in order to achieve the release of the many Somali prisoners in Mombasa.
