Guardz And Palo Alto Networks Target Browser-Based Attacks With Prisma Browser Protection Integration

A stolen password is no longer the only credential-related risk organizations need to worry about. Attackers increasingly target authenticated browser sessions, seeking access to accounts that have already passed login checks. Once an active session is compromised, conventional password-focused defenses may not provide enough protection.

The browser has consequently become an important part of identity security. Employees use it to access business applications, communicate, manage sensitive information, and interact with cloud services. Protecting those sessions requires visibility into browser activity alongside the identity and endpoint signals that security teams already monitor.

Guardz is addressing this challenge through an integration with Palo Alto Networks’ Prisma Browser for Business, bringing browser protection into its broader Agentic Workspace Security platform. SiliconANGLE first reported on this partnership.

Following An Attack Beyond The Browser

The integration is designed to connect security events that might otherwise be investigated separately.

Consider an employee who receives a convincing phishing email and clicks a link to a fraudulent login page. Prisma Browser for Business can use inline machine-learning phishing detection and Advanced URL Filtering to help block the destination, including websites designed to steal credentials or active session tokens.

Guardz can then correlate the browser event with the original email, related Microsoft 365 activity, and endpoint telemetry. This allows its 24/7 managed detection and response (MDR) team and the responsible MSP to investigate the broader incident around the affected identity.

The platform also incorporates WildFire file analysis, browser upload and download scanning, and detection of risky extensions, extending protection beyond malicious websites.

Dor Eisner, CEO and Co-Founder of Guardz, sees this connected approach as a necessary evolution in cybersecurity.

“Identity is the new center of gravity in cybersecurity, and the browser has become the primary gateway to the modern workspace. Traditional security tools operate in silos, leaving critical gaps in visibility and response,” Eisner said.

The Case For Connecting Security Signals

Security teams often receive information from several products, each monitoring a different part of the organization. The difficulty is determining whether seemingly unrelated events are actually connected.

Guardz’s integration with Palo Alto Networks is intended to reduce that fragmentation by bringing browser activity into the same investigation process as email, identity, and endpoint events.

“Together with Palo Alto Networks, we’re advancing a new era of identity-centric security operations, connecting signals across identity, browser, email, endpoint, and data into a unified security fabric that is powered by agents. Guardz enables MSPs to autonomously investigate, correlate, and respond to threats across the entire workspace, while giving small businesses the freedom to embrace AI securely and thrive. This is the future of cybersecurity: identity-centric, unified data fabric, and built for autonomous defense at scale,” Eisner added.

The agentic component is central to Guardz’s positioning. The company aims to help MSPs investigate, correlate, and respond to threats with greater autonomy, supported by its MDR service and research and threat hunting team.

Extending Protection Through Existing MSP Workflows

The partnership also considers the operational realities of serving small businesses. Many organizations depend on MSPs for security management, so new technology must fit into the providers’ existing deployment processes.

Guardz says its integration simplifies provisioning, setup, and default configuration, allowing Prisma Browser for Business to be deployed within minutes.

Kevin Kehoe of Datawise Networks, an early-access MSP, said, “The rollout through our RMM was super smooth. Within minutes, the Prisma Browser for Business extension was on every Chrome and Edge profile, and it was quick and easy to configure and deploy.”

Palo Alto Networks sees the MSP relationship as an opportunity to extend browser security to smaller organizations through providers they already trust. Shivam Srivastava, VP Product at Palo Alto Networks, said, “For most small businesses, the browser is now the office. Working with Guardz brings Prisma Browser for Business into the security these organizations receive from the providers they already trust. It connects our browser protection with the wider coverage and support their MSP delivers, helping safeguard the applications and information employees use every day.”

Protecting The Next Generation Of Browser Sessions

Identity protection is also becoming more complicated as employees adopt browser-based AI tools. Guardz’s AI Usage and Control capabilities let MSPs establish client-specific policies restricting copying, pasting, uploading, and downloading files on selected websites or categories.

The company has also introduced an AI usage report that provides a per-client overview of AI tool adoption. These features give providers visibility into employee behavior while helping organizations enforce policies around how information is shared.

As browser sessions become increasingly connected to business applications and AI services, securing the browser is becoming closely tied to protecting organizational identities. The Guardz and Palo Alto Networks integration reflects that convergence, placing browser activity within a wider framework for detection, investigation, and response.
