Democrats Care More About New Votes Than National Security

Any lawmaker in Washington, D.C. who claims there is not a crisis at our southern border is either an imbecile or an outright liar. The border is being overwhelmed, and it appears Congress will do nothing to stop it. Democrats ignore national security.

Candidate Trump had made border security his highest priority in his 2016 presidential run. Voters were elated by the one man who was unafraid to broach the subject and demand action. The now president has done so as he confronts ridiculous laws concerning chain migration and an absurd visa lottery system.

President Trump has never wavered on his commitment to fixing the national crisis. He remains adamant against the biased left-leaning media and most Democratic lawmakers bound and determined to put their political itinerary above that of the security of American citizens.

Meanwhile, the Democrats’ position on illegal immigration moves further and further to the left. They are out of touch with the average American. Their hatred of Trump supersedes anything else and leads them to embrace abolishing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), tearing down existing border walls and decriminalizing illegal border crossings.

National Security at Stake

Illegal border crossing is a National Security issue.

That has led Trump to declare a national emergency at the border. His efforts to secure funding for a border wall underline this national disgrace perpetrated by Democrats to create a base of new voters no matter what it does to this country’s culture, economic future or national security.

Despite Democratic accusations of a “made up crisis,” the border situation has gone from dire to chaotic. Last week, there were a stunning 4,117 apprehensions and encounters at the border in a single day. That was the most recorded in ten years. Even President Obama’s former Homeland Security Secretary, Jeh Johnson said recently, “I know that 1,000 overwhelm the system. I cannot begin to imagine what 4,000 a day looks like, so we are truly in a crisis.”

Americans need to discount the political nonsense of the left and listen to border professionals. This crisis is too big to politicize. How many more murders must there be by illegal immigrants in this country or other tragedies involving American citizens? Half of America is oblivious to the selfish desires of Democrat politicians in Washington thirsting for one thing only: power.

Border Crossing Emergency

If 76,000 people apprehended illegally crossing the southwestern border in February isn’t a national emergency, what is? And this is only the SW border apprehensions.

Millions of reasonable Americans will back this president if he follows through on his threat to close the southern border. The argument that it will stifle the import of avocados or harm our economy is an argument of national embarrassment.
