Crossfire War – 7th DAY- Massive Show of Opposition Force Sunday

Crossfire War – TEHRAN WATCH – West Asia Theatre: Tehran – Beirut – Damascus/Paris – Rome – Berlin – Cairo – Washington – London; 7th DAY – Hezbollah – Amal – Christian Nationalists Call for Massive Show of Force Sunday – Pres. Emile Lahoud Calls for National Unity Government – Maronite Church Calls for Reconciliation

Night Watch: BEIRUT – AP reports Hezbollah, through several Lebanese newspapers, are calling their supporters, including Amal and Christian nationalists, led by Michel Aoun, to stage a massive show of force Sunday against the government headed by Prime Minister Fouad Siniora. Hezbollah is already calling the demonstrations “historic and decisive” as if they know it will signal a new unified era in Lebanon’s modern history, which has always maintained an uneasy, tenuous ruling coalition of just a few political groups. Someone speaking for Hezbollah stated Sunday would be “a day in which deaf ears and blind eyes would open by meeting the legitimate demands replacing monopoly with participation and the one color government with a national unity government.” [ASHARQALAWSAT]

It is not only the eyes and ears of the current exclusive government coalition that will be open and hear, but also the eyes and ears of the West, which had long taken for granted they could manipulate West Asia (Middle East) as they wish, while they sit back and laughingly watch the region fight itself, as if this were still 1957, instead soon to be 2007, when Tehran’s growing unifying influence achieves its most powerful impact as it leads the Islamic world into (f)allout war with the West.

A World War III that began in 1994 as NATO enlarged the war in the Balkans, Tehran had Hezbollah increase attacks against Israel, Russia launched massive attacks against Chechen fighters supported by Iran and against Islamic fighters in Tajikistan, also supported by Iran. The Islamic uprising in Kashmir in 1994 also intensified with direct support from Tehran and increased conflict on the same fronts since then. In the meantime, Tehran continued the military – industrial preparations they would need for a full year of heavy, offensive warfare. The yearlong war games Tehran has staged all during 2006 means, they are ready.

All the fighting and terrorist attacks have just been preparation to remove international obstacles to Iran and the Islamic world’s attempt to control more world trade. However, of course Western powers are still trying to entertain the myth that somehow they can deal their way out of full-scale war. Tehran is using their fear and their completely in the dark, insulated, decision making to deceive them. When the West sent the Ayatollah Khomeini back to Tehran, from his last exile in the Paris suburb in February 1979, to replace the Shah of Iran, they had no idea his influence would reach into the Arab world and now work with Christian nationalists in Lebanon. However, when one is part of the problem they cannot see it coming.

In 2006, a projection of power by Europe was made in the form of UNIFIL and its units in Lebanon, a Western military presence that Tehran views as more of an enemy than Israel. Tehran does not want UNIFIL to enjoy watching Hezbollah – Syria-Iran fighting Israel and afterwards European forces are still there and perhaps increased, which is why Iran had al-Qaeda declare UNIFIL to be an enemy of Islam shortly after European forces began to arrive. With Tehran’s ability to incorporate non-Islamic groups and political forces they are now confronting the West with a Lebanon that is no longer a satellite state of the West, but of Iran. The expanded government the Iranian sponsored groups are demanding is Tehran’s way of proving they can work with more Lebanese than the West was ever willing to.

Lebanon President Emile Lahoud is openly calling for a government of national unity as is the Hezbollah led coalition. The influential Maronite Catholic Church, though they are not calling for a unity government, as obviously as the opposition, they are calling for a “reconciliation government that ensures wide participation at the national level.” There is virtually no difference between what they are saying and the opposition in the street.

Sunday may have been chosen for the “historic and decisive” day in deference to the Christians that are supporting Hezbollah-Amal. Sunday is of course the day of worship in Christianity. The demonstrations began last Friday, which is of course the holy day for Muslims. It may have been planned all along to have Prime Minister Fouad Siniora to make a public announcement, during the massive show of force that he is prepared to form an expanded government in line with the opposition proposals.
