Folsom Gourd and Arts Festival – Day One Photos

What a stunning day, the first day of the two day Folsom Gourd and Arts Festival. The venue in Folsom City Park is just beautiful, a mixture of sun, filtered sun and shade. Whatever you needed, it was there.

The quality of the art is outstanding – so many fabulous artists. There are paint, metal, photo, crochet, arrangement, jewelry, fiber, leather and, of course, gourd artists. A really stunning array of styles and methods, well worth the visit.

Near to the end of my path today, I discovered the work of the amazing gourd-horsewoman. People were amazed at seeing an amazing live gourd person interacting with them.

Be sure to start early. I arrived at noon, thinking I’d stay for an hour, taking photos. Five hours later, I still hadn’t seen every stall.
