Democrats Will Do Anything to Regain Power

The more things change, the more they stay the same. The Democrats have come up with yet another tax proposal. It is as if they live in an isolated bubble from the desires of the American people that demand less is more from the federal government.

Rep. John Larson chairs the Social Security subcommittee in the House. He wants to raise Social Security taxes. Supposedly the hike is directed at “the rich,” or better yet, the few who are left that can be called “rich.” It appears that the war cry from the left is any kind of tax you pay, raise it.

The following is a condensed list of insane taxes your Democratic lawmakers want to raise: Sen. Sanders wants a death tax hike; a big one. No chance you can leave a few million to the grandkids. Bernie wants 45 percent. Meanwhile, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who appears to be the new darling of the far left, would double the top tax rate on income. Far left presidential candidate Julian Castro’s on board with that, too.

Democrats will do anything to regain power.
Democrats will do anything to regain power.

Let’s review the Democratic Party’s wishes. Social Security taxes, up; estate taxes, up; income taxes, up. But don’t forget newly disgraced Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s message to taxpayers; she wants a wealth tax, whatever the criteria of that is.

The Democrats’ 2020 campaign is an endless series of tax hikes. Massive tax hikes, with massive new spending. Tax and spend on steroids. No thought of containing the bloated federal bureaucracy, cutting back or lessening the burden of the already huge tax crunch. They want more money for their welfare projects that they hope will build a new base for their voting freeloaders through your money.

Sane American taxpayers need to take a step back. Look at the economy now, after big tax cuts. The rate of growth has doubled. The job market is as strong as it’s been in a generation. Inflation isn’t a problem and interest rates remain low. Oh, and wages are rising at the best rate in a decade. African Americans, Hispanics and women are witnessing the lowest unemployment in decades or ever.

The Democrats hate this. It begins with Trump the man. They hate him and how their candidate lost fair and square to him. They hate his success and the fear they are becoming irrelevant.

Prosperity to them is bad if the president is found responsible for it, which he is. They resent wealth, even though they mostly are in that class. You have the money they need to build a new base of the welfare state citizens and illegal aliens they want sworn in as Americans. Your misery brings them votes from those seeking freebies at your expense.

Never have we seen such massive tax hike proposals precisely at the time when tax cuts are working so well. It galls Democrats who will do whatever it takes to regain power, even at the expense of the thriving economy and the country itself.
