Could Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl Be Barack Obama’s Waterloo?

Since it was announced that U.S. Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, Al-Qaeda’s only prisoner of war in Afghanistan was released, a lot of ugly revelations have come out.

The Obama administration has again put its foot squarely in another pile of steaming cow dung.

It appears that Sgt. Bergdahl willfully deserted his post while serving with his unit in Afghanistan. If that is true, and it appears to be the case, rather than receiving a hero’s welcome, he can expect to face a court martial.

Apparently, The White House did not know this, but that seems hard to believe.

If that was all, it would be bad enough, but there is more – and it is worse.

Barack Obama broke the law because he did not tell anyone in Congress, or give the required 30 days notice for bartering five Taliban commanders in exchange for Bergdahl. Obama should have known this. People in his administration should have known this. Unless the people running this country are complete idiots, they should have known this.

Obama is in contempt of the U.S. Constitution with an additional charge: aiding and abetting the enemies of the United States.

Bergdahl and Obama should know what it means to serve our country. Both took an oath to do so. Both have clearly not lived up to the oaths they made. It seems that both Bergdahl and Obama think they can do whatever suits them at the time, and they can ignore the law. Both must face justice.

Evan Buetow, Bergdahl’s former Army team leader said they resented Bergdahl. “We were upset with the fact that we were looking for this guy who we knew walked away.”

After Bergdahl deserted, the Army sent men out to find him. We have heard that six soldiers lost their lives trying to locate him, a man who willfully walked away from his post – and left a note about it. Note that it may not be true that the six died as a direct result of searching for Bergdahl. Only the soldiers on those patrols or the military can confirm that, and we haven’t heard anything definitive yet.

Bergdahl is currently in Germany. Apparently, he is physically OK, but not mentally. When the dust settles, it has been reported that Bergdahl faces a court martial for desertion.

We have heard that before he deserted, he sent a final email message to his parents, which said, “The US Army is the biggest joke the world has to laugh at. It is the army of liars, backstabbers, fools and bullies.”

His father, a Muslim, wrote back, “Dear Bowe, In matters of life and death, and especially at war, it is never safe to ignore one’s conscience.”

Three days after that email exchange, a fellow soldier went to awaken Bergdahl at 5:30 a.m., for guard duty. The soldier found body armor and weapon, but not Bergdahl.

In 2010, after an investigation by the Pentagon, the evidence showed that Bergdahl had walked away from his unit. If the White House knew Bergdahl was in captivity, how could they not know about this?

Howard P. McKeon, the House Armed Services Committee Chairman, a California Republican, and the ranking Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee, James M. Inhofe (R-OK), wrote in a statement, “Trading five senior Taliban leaders from detention in Guantanamo Bay for Bergdahl’s release may have consequences for the rest of our forces and all Americans. Our terrorist adversaries now have a strong incentive to capture Americans. That incentive will put our forces in Afghanistan and around the world at even greater risk.”

President Obama broke the law by releasing the five GITMO Taliban commanders, without complying with the law that requires the president to notify Congress at least 30 days in advance before transferring any prisoner out of GITMO. Obama must have known that requirement, and there was obviously time, because it takes more than 30 days to organize something of this magnitude, but he made a unilateral decision and kept it quiet.

The question remains: what will Congress do about this, the latest in a series of failures by the White House and the Obama administration?

There is evidence Obama has already done major damage to the U.S. Constitution, which he swore to uphold. There has been the “Fast and Furious” gun running, the Benghazi cover-up, unlawful granting of amnesty. This from a man who does not have a valid Social Security number, who has sealed all his records to conceal his past.

He has not enforced our immigration laws, sued states to stop them from enforcing their immigration laws, and now we hear his administration is removing illegals from Texas and dumping them in Arizona.

Now he appears to be aiding and abetting the enemy by releasing five Taliban commanders, who could soon return to Afghanistan to continue their fight against Americans and the Afghan people.

The Taliban commanders have been sent to Qatar. The deal is they will be held for a year, until most of the Americans have left Afghanistan.

What’s that you say? The Qataris won’t release those Taliban back to Afghanistan?

Well if you think that, you don’t know that in 2012 Hillary Clinton and the CIA sent a bunch of high tech Stinger missiles to Qatar. They did that ostensibly so they could be sent to Libya – another country with people who hate the US! And the Qataris didn’t send all of those stingers to Libya – they sent about 50 of them to the Taliban.

That is how a US Chinook helicopter, full of US soldiers, was shot out of the sky over Afghanistan. Thankfully, the US pilot regained control of the chopper and although it was a hard landing, the soldiers got out. By the way, another chopper found those Taliban and vaporized them – but they found Stinger missile components, including one with a serial number on it that was traced right back to the CIA shipment a short time earlier.

Where is the outrage from Congress and from the people? A bunch of madmen appear to be running The White House.

While we collectively do nothing, own government, operating in our name carries on “private wars” with a volunteer army for the profits of corporations and bankers.

The citizens of the Constitutional Republic of the Unted States of America must to ask ourselves if we want to continue the madness that allows crazy people to enter positions of leadership, or if we want to elect real leaders who truly work for the intelligent future of America.

Here are some people we don’t need any more of: Obama, Harry Reid, Charles Schumer, John McCain, Mark Udall, Orrin Hatch, Barbara Boxer, Diane Feinstein, and we don’t need others like them.

We really are in a mess, but we can do something about it, if we can collectively pay attention for long enough.
