“There’s a really good chance you’re going to be offended,” U.S. Navy Captain Owen Honors. He was the ship’s executive officer, and states at the start of a video shown to the 6,000 men and women of the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise.
The movie he created is sprinkled with anti-gay slurs, simulated masturbation, fake eating of human excrement and an examination of profanity.
Honors starred in the video shown in 2006 and 2007 aboard the ship’s closed circuit television system.
The Virginian-Pilot, which broke the story of the videos, has posted an edited version of one on its web site.
Per the Virginian-Pilot:
“In the videos, Honors indicates that he’s trying to entertain the crew. They were shown roughly once a week on closed-circuit shipwide television, according to a handful of sailors who were assigned to the Enterprise at the time. The sailors requested anonymity for fear of retribution.
The Navy states that it is investigating.
