Fish Saves Sanity?

Fish is a tool to maintain a healthy brain, and sanity.

The brain determines feelings, thoughts, moods, and how experiences are remembered.

It figures-out how to handle life, and the following situations.

You reach the train’s plat-form. Teens are standing there whispering among themselves as people approach. What will you do in scenario one?

A. Pass them, and ignore their childish chatter?

B. Hold your wallet/purse, small children, jewelry, closer?

C. Wait for the next train?

D. Stare at them, and roll your eyes as you stroll pass? Scenario two is next?

You step out of the train station. “Stop him! He took my earrings.” The lady shouted.

The thief is about to run past you.

A. Will you reach for your wireless phone to call the police?

B. Trip him?

C. Scream for help?

D. Shower him with foul names?

Your answers will reflect what’s going on in your brain.

Look at what a brain needs to maintain a healthy balance.

Brain cells need omega-3 fatty acids, which are found in fish. They are called eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), and docosahexenoic acid (DHA).

Some health care professionals say that DHA is the fatty acid most important for healthy brain development. A study done by Dr. G. Paul Amminger, of The University of Melbourne, and his team found through studies that the omega-3 fatty acids protect brain cells. Also, they help the brain function.

Fish oil is credited with improving memory, thinking.

Studies proved DHA reduces build-up in the brain that’s associated with Alzheimer’s disease. Diets with little to no omega-3 fatty acids can lead to depression, and brain damage.

Exercise, diet, and learning will aid in maintaining a healthy brain. Still, it’s important to consult a health-care provider before beginning any new routine. Sources of omega-3 fatty acids are mackerel, fresh tuna, salmon, herring, and flounder. Omega-3 fatty acids are building blocks to continuing healthy brain activity, and fish is one tool to saving sanity.
